Hayward Arts Council presents the exhibition Arts & Letters in the Community Gallery at the HAHS Museum of History & Culture. The works of fifty local artists featuring art and illustrations with at least one word of text in different languages will be on display.
Participants are members of Hayward Arts Council, Sun Gallery, A.R.T., Inc., and students from Ochoa Middle School, Mt. Eden High School, Tennyson High School, CSUEB, and Chabot College. A variety of media such as oils, pastels, acrylics, drawing, photography, sculpture, mixed media, textiles, card-making, art journaling, re-purposed and up-cycled books, wire, jewelry, ceramics, and more.
An artists' reception and awards presentation will be held on Friday, July 7, 5:30 - 7:30 PM.
A free demonstration on Chinese Calligraphy by Ruey Syrop will be conducted during the reception on July 7.
